Hearfelt Praise

I got this email from Jennifer today and wanted to post it:

Heartfelt praise for the record forty church members who worked at various times from 8:30 AM today until about 4:45 PM to decorate FBS for Advent. Of those, 20 people are members of Teammates.

Come to church this Sunday and see the wonderful results of the teamwork of a dedicated group in a hectic day of church activity. Dick Houser and his crew built a stable in record time. Mary Lynn Barnes, Altar Guild Chairman, made a trip to the ER this morning and returned safely to tell the group she was going home to rest on doctor’s orders. All the decorating was done respectfully around a funeral mid-morning.

Following the luncheon provided by FBS for Texas Cawood’s family after her burial, her daughter came up to Phyllis Hill and told Phyllis how lovely and meaningful the decorations were for her personally. One could just see God’s hand in everything that happened.

Thanks to everyone who contributed in any and every way especially in prayer.

Deck the Halls ...

The "chaos" started early this morning as 10's of people showed up to begin decorating the church for Advent and Christmas. Jennifer Egan asked that I start blogging again (others have approached me to start it back again). So, I thought ... I'll do it.

We did have a great time this morning (and some are still over there working!). What a great time of fellowship and prepartion.
